Shashi Godbole = The OG Relatable Queen
Shashi’s struggles are so real. Who hasn’t felt slightly out of place in a fancy setting or been roasted for their English pronunciation? I feel you Shashi, I feel you. I also can't differentiate between AMERICANO, CAPPUCINO, LATTE!!
Watching her hustle to learn English while casually making laddoos like a boss is
the kind of multitasking we aspire to.

Let’s be honest: seeing Shashi navigate the big city with that desi swag
 (and Laurent lowkey simping for her) gave us all main character energy.

Even though she had a massive personality glow up, had the time of her life in New York, confidently made new friends,
(AURA ++++) she did not lose her connection to
her roots and her simplicity through out the movie.
Her determination to remake the laddoos from scratch after Sagar dropped them, showcases her deep passion for cooking.
"Apne favorite subject mai fail hoke, english mai pass ho gai toh kya?"
 Shashi wasn’t just making sweets, she was serving lessons in
 patience, passion, and pure love.

Moral of the story: If life gets tough, just make laddoos and book a flight to New York.
